A playful date invite

Pretty Please

A date invite you can't say no to. Literally.

What it does

Six little tricks that add up to one hard-to-refuse invite.

Runaway No

The No button flees the pointer, shrinks, and eventually gives up.

Vanishing dinner

One option disappears on hover. The page gaslights like it was never there.

One link per person

Publish from the admin panel and text a short link. No account for her.

Admin studio

Live preview, autosave, and import/export so you can craft each invite.

AI inspiration

Server-side key, privacy rules, and a mock mode for demos. The browser never sees the key.

Pre-filled reply

Confirmation opens a text with the date she picked, ready to send.

How it's built

Plain language on the stack, then the product calls behind it.

Stack

  • Vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No framework tax.
  • A serverless function for the AI feature. The API key stays on the server.
  • PIN gate for the owner tools. Checked in the browser for now.
  • No backend database. Invites travel in the link.
  • Mobile-first layout, with reduced-motion respected end to end.

Product decisions

  • Encoded links โ€” each person gets a self-contained URL. Hosting stays a static folder.
  • Server-side key โ€” inspiration can call a model without shipping secrets to the page.
  • Privacy rules on AI โ€” mock mode for demos; real calls never train on her name or your number in the client.
